Unlike many real estate markets across the country, Park City does not see the average winter lull in sales. With such a diverse inventory of properties for both primary and secondary homeowners and with ski season just around the corner the local market remains strong.

The last two weekends in August were host to the annual Park City Area Showcase of Homes presented by the Park City Area Homebuilders Association and Zions Bank. The Showcase presents new homes in the greater Park City and Heber/Midway area to display the work of local builders, architects and designers. It is a great opportunity to see their work, and get a chance to chat with them about future projects.

This year, 19 spectacular homes were on display to browse at your leisure through the event that took place over the two weekends. The tour took us through properties from Deer Valley to Park Meadows, The Colony to Sun Peak, and over to The Woods of Parley’s Lane. From there the tour continued to Promontory, Tuhaye, and Red Ledges developments, along with some wonderful new homes in new subdivisions in Heber and Midway.

Just as in years past, the Showcase gives an opportunity to look at new materials, new innovations in building, and a glimpse at the latest designs. From modern to rustic, eclectic to country, a broad range of interior and exterior design was represented.

A few of our favorite design trends include large doors that open to create an indoor/outdoor space bringing the mountains inside, spacious laundry/mud rooms with dual washers and dryers for large families or groups, and bunk rooms with gorgeous built in beds.

Whether you are looking at homes to buy or build, or just remodel or to redecorate in the future, the annual Showcase of Homes is a great way to gather information and inspiration.

We are already looking forward to next year. If you are looking to build your dream home, call us today to find the perfect location in the greater Park City area.
